Protest against russian genocide & famine against Ukraine 1932-1933

When: Saturday, 25 November. 6PMWhere: Water Tower, 835 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611
Join the Ukrainian-American community in protest against the [r]ussian genocide against Ukraine. The protest will be followed by a requiem service in memory of the victims at 7PM at Holy Name Cathedral.

Every fourth Saturday of November, the global Ukrainian community pays tribute to the victims of the Holodomor genocide of 1932-1933. A candlelight vigil is held worldwide, with lit candles being displayed in windows and at protests.
Holodomor is the result of systematic and government-directed starvation of Ukrainians under USSR occupation; it was implemented by a forced confiscation of crops-- and later, anything edible-- by russian troops. Much of the same is occurring now in the Ukrainian territories occupied by russia.
Ukrainian Daughters Foundation supports UCCA's initiative in Chicago and calls on all Ukrainians to join the protest this Saturday, 25th November.
